The Newport Bridge Brigade is a passionate group of community members who gather near the iconic Newport Pell Bridge to speak out on critical issues and promote meaningful change. Founded by Catherine Hillery on March 5, 2025, the group's first rally brought together local activists—including many from the Newport Democratic City Committee—to demonstrate in support of continued U.S. aid for Ukraine's defense and sovereignty.. Participants proudly waved Ukrainian flags, carried handmade signs, honked horns, and voiced their concerns, demonstrating Newport’s spirit of activism and solidarity.

Join us every other Wednesday from 4:30-5:45 PM at the Pell Bridge Ramps (88 JT Connell Highway) to make your voice heard!
